Tim, our head of screen printing over here (www.PhillyFreshPrints.com), was in center city with Rich when a bum asked Rich for a quarter. This is the attitude the bitch copped from simply being denied some spare change. Listen to the change of her tune after a black dude walks by!
Gotta love Philly.

Pat Heid: gap to back lip
Below is a photo of Pat Heid, doing a quick gap to back lipslide on aged marble in Philadelphia. While the trick wasn't particularly difficult for him, I thought the spot looked cool and could make a good photo, which is something that in my opinion magazines lack these days, all of them. Would you rather see an good trick over a good photo? This has been an ongoing issue for me. Run a photo that you f'd up strictly because it's a good trick? My opinion is that magazines should run the best of the photographer and the skateboarders work, there's so much good skateboarding and photography out there that there's no reason not to. I wouldn't consider this so much a rant, but a question that I'd like to hear opinions back from, both skateboarders and photographers.

Under attack!
Up and running
Cool... so this is the beginning of the Focus blog. Hopefully this shit keeps you entertained with both skateboarding, and not so skateboarding information. Our goal with this is to keep you up to date with the nonsense that goes on around the office, the skating in the streets, and ultimately something enjoyable for you to space out to while your buried behind a computer at or school and wish you were somewhere else.
